With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donnie E. Smith of York, Pennsylvania, born in Newville, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 11, 2026 at the age of 69. He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy Marie Smith (Thrush); and his siblings, Patsy Graham, Charles Smith and Ronald Smith. He is survived by: his spouse Michele V. Smith (Wood); his father Lester Edward; his children, Melanie Smith (Charles) of Uniontown, Mandy Lugo (Saul) of Hammond, Indiana and Matthew Smith (Jennifer) of New Oxford; his grandchildren, Shanya Foster (David), Taylor Cooley (Charlie Hardway), Kaitlyn Smith, Carly Smith, Marshall Smith and Harper Smith; his great grandchildren, Nova, Lucian and Genesis; and his siblings, Jean Mooney, Larry E. Smith and Paul E. Smith. He is also survived by other loving extended family members and dear friends.
