She was predeceased by: her parents, Ammon G. Markel and Pansy Mae Markel (Winters); her husband Earl "Gene" Brown; and her daughter Sonia A. Reichard. She is survived by: her daughters, Melodee S. Sherwood (John) of Seven Valleys and Candace Welty (Dan) of Dover; and her sisters-in-law, Janice Dehoff and Elizabeth Korupp. She is also survived by five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
