She is survived by: her husband Willie "Sonny" James Carter; her daughters, India Y. Banks (Kelvin), Tabitha A. Carter and DiShaya R. Kent; her grandchildren, Kiara, Kelvin, Alexus, Sincer, Qu'Asia, Ahshynae and Ayahna; and her brother Norman Bibbins (Brenda).
