He was predeceased by: his parents, E. F. "Pid" Charles and Thelma Charles (Anderson); and his sister Betty Clevinger. He is survived by: his wife Cherry (Scott); his sons, Eric F. Charles (Pamela) of Dover and Dack S. Charles of Red Lion; his grandchildren, Alan Scott Charles, Emily Faith Charles and Ryah Lyn Charles; and his sister Emma Jo Connar of Louisville, KY. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
