He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Schaeffer and Dorothy Frantz Schaeffer; his wife Nancy Yocum Schaeffer; and his son Scott Schaeffer. He is survived by: his daughter Catherine Schaeffer of York; his daughter-in-law Diane Schaeffer of Harrisburg; and his stepchildren, Mark Krammes (Mary Ann) of Suedberg, Marty Krammes (Cindy) of Pine Grove, Melanie Miller (Michael) of Etters and Mary Billow. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to either New Hope Wesleyan Church, 32 Spencer St., Frackville, PA 17931 or Ruth Steinert Memorial SPCA, 18 Wertz Dr., Pine Grove, PA 17963 in his memory.
