He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Cole Sr. and Martha Jane Ferrell. He is survived by: his grandson Frank; his wife Darlene; his son Daniel; and his sister Betty Jean Phillipi. He is also survived by wife and their two nine-year-old children.
