He was predeceased by: his parents, Gail F. Mundis (Brooks) and Harwood Mundis. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Brooks; his children, Amanda Brooks of York, Gary L. Brooks III and Kelly Brooks of South Carolina; his stepsons, James Hoffnagle and Kevin Hoffnagle of York; and his half-brother Scott Brooks. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great grandson.
His hobbies were going trail riding and charity events with different Jeep Clubs.
