He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack C. Hays, Sr. and Eva "Pauline" Hays (Garmong); and his brother Robert M. Hays, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Peggy A. Hays (Myers); his daughter Julie M. Rohm (Coy) of Greencastle; his grandson Connor Rohm of Greencastle; his children, James C. Hays of West Virginia and Cari A. Hays of California; his sibling's children, Tammy Ward of Greencastle, Jeff Hartman of Greencastle and Robert M. Hays, Jr. of Arkansas; and his aunts, Patricia Pryor of Hagerstown, MD and Harriet Pickral of Norfolk, VA.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home (521 S Washington St, Greencastle, PA 17225). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jack's name may be made to: • Jerome King Playground,• St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
