We bid farewell to James A. Schroeder of York, Pennsylvania, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 23, 2025 at the age of 97. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his wife Edith R. Schroeder (Standiford); his mother Lena Schroeder (Valentine); and his brothers, Frank J. and Joseph A. Schroeder. He is survived by: his father Joseph Schroeder; his daughters, Ruthann "Sandy" Uffelman (Herb) of York, PA and Tanya Abel (Kim) of Red Lion, PA; his grandchildren, Tyler Abel (Jocelyn), Kelsey Leinbach (Nicholas) and Lindsey Bascelli (Joseph); and his great grandchildren, Grady Bascelli, Brock Bascelli and Trent Abel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A burial was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 10:50 AM. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Kreutz Creek Cemetery (4801 Pleasant Valley Rd, York, PA 17406).
