He was predeceased by: his former wife Carolyn L. Taylor Weire; his parents, Claire Weire and Anna Weire; and his son James Weire II. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Weire; his children, Lea Newcomer, Cindy Shimmel, Wendy Snyder, Marcia Taylor and Corey Weire; and his stepchildren, James Neidermyer Jr. and Jefferey Neidermyer. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene (400 Stillmeadow Ln, York, PA 17404). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Grove Chapel, 170 Andersontown Road, Dover, PA 17315.
