He was predeceased by: his wife Lois Elaine Wakeland; his parents, James Hall Wakeland and Nora Spahr Wakeland; and his sisters, Virginia Lehman and Barbara Kuhn.
He is survived by: his sister Holly Meekins; his sons, Douglas Wakeland (Janet) of Lacombe, LA, Scott Wakeland of Brunswick, GA and Bryan Wakeland of West York; and his grandchildren, Kristin, Gregory, Thomas, Jackson and Maxwell.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the St. Jacob's United Church of Christ (100 E George St, New Salem Borough, PA 17371).
