It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melba M. Bates of York, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 12, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert W. Bates; and her parents, Morris V. Horn and Lucretia I. Horn (Himes). She is survived by: her siblings, Elton Horn, Glenn Horn (Jack), Ben Horn and Patricia Keller; her children, Daniel L. Witmer (Jean) of Windham, NH and Denise M. Smith (James) of York; her granddaughter Kelly M. Renard of Mechanicsburg; and her great grandchild Gavin Renard.
