She was predeceased by: her parents, Fairy Mae (Atland) and Clair E. Summers, Sr.; her spouse Glenn E. "Rudy" Rudisill; her grandparents, Anna E. and Charles F. Summers; her stepmother Ethel Mae Summers; and her half-sister Connie Summers.

She is survived by: her daughter Debra Beaverson (Robert); her siblings, Clair E. Summers, Jr., Kay Swope, Cindy Lou Anthony, Linda Carpenter and April Kauffman; her close friend Thomas Foller; and her pets, Meitu, Skipper and Boomer.
