He was predeceased by: his parents, William W. Shirk and Marian I. Shirk (Mulvaney); and his siblings, Lois, Lora, Bernie, Sandy, Bill and Margie.
He is survived by: his significant other Darlene L. Shirk (Perry); his daughter Denise Denning (Russel) of York, PA; his granddaughters, Andrea Denning and Rachel Harbold (Alan); his great grandchildren, Easton and Jameson; his son N. John Shirk (Kristine) of New Holland, PA; his grandchildren, Katelyn Thomas (Jesse) and Allison Hayes (Emily); and his brothers, Brian Shirk (Elsie) of Florida and Vincent Shirk of Florida.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bellevue Presbyterian Church (810 Newport Ave, Gap, PA 17527). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
