He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester A. Kline and Lucy O. Kline (McNerlin). He is survived by: his wife Martha "Marty" Jane (Kelley); and his children, Robert A. Kline, Jr. (Susan) of Mechanicsburg, Jill K. Eyster (Gary) of Harrisburg and Jodi K. Grothe (David) of York. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
