We announce the death of Shanon R. Toal of York, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 9, 2026, at the age of 82. Shanon will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Shanon will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Shanon’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, C. Raymond Toal and Nadine Toal (Rickrode); and his close friend Sheila Drayden. He is survived by: his children, Shanon R. Toal, Jr. (Donna Neiderer) of Hanover, Neil P. Toal (Patricia Bowman) of New Oxford and Kathy Toal-Philipsen (Chris Mumma) of Hanover; his grandchildren, Cameron Philipsen (Gabriella Jenkins) of Frisco, TX, Jacob Toal of Hanover and Kaitlyn Sacchetti (Nico) of Duryea, PA; and his brother Jeffrey Toal of McSherrystown.
