We announce the death of Vonnie T. Gross of York, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 2, 2026, at the age of 80. Vonnie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Clarence B. Gross Jr.; her parents, Mary Gladfelter (Gentzler) and Glen Gladfelter; her daughter Cindy Gross; and her grandson Jacob Gurreri.
She is survived by: her close friend Steve Ketterman; her daughters, Robin (Joseph Gurreri Sr) and Beth (Anthony Sottasante); her grandchildren, Joseph Gurreri Jr. (Kristen), Christopher Gurreri (Kelly), Emily (Gurreri), AJ Sottasante and Sierra Sottasante; and her great grandchildren, Aurianna Sottasante, Liam Holland, Maddison Gurreri, Mason Holland, Cole Gurreri, Joseph Gurreri III (Tripp), Lucas Gurreri, Hailey Holland, Jackson Gurreri and Chloe Gurreri.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Jacob's Evangelical Lutheran Church (99 E George St, New Salem Borough, PA 17371). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at the St. Jacob's Union Cemetery (99 E George St, New Salem Borough, PA 17371).
