It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Benjamin Jones Sabey (York, Pennsylvania), born in Rochester, New York, who passed away on February 7, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Meyer and Marcia Elizabeth Sabey (Jones). He is survived by: his wife Ruth Sabey (Johnson); his children, William B. J. Sabey, Jr. of Plymouth Meeting, PA, John B. Sabey (Tamara) and Joan Crow (Jeffrey F. Crow) of Moseley, VA; his grandchildren, John W. Barnett (Christine), Alexander C. Sabey (Joanna), Zachary R. Sabey (Lindsay), Rachel E. Crow, Sean J. Crow and Sarah C. Crow; and his great grandchildren, Lucy M. Barnett, Benjamin J. Barnett, Ellana R. Sabey, Gail L. Sabey, Chava L. Sabey, Raelynn R. Sabey and William P. Sabey.
He has donated his body to the Humanity Gifts Registry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 225 E. Market Street, York, PA, 17403, to the United Way of York County, 140 E. Market Street, York, PA, 17401 or to a charity of your choice.
