It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William W. McDonald (York, Pennsylvania), who passed away on May 9, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, William shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid William farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. McDonald, and Emma G. McDonald, Sr.; and his brother James C. McDonald. He is survived by: his children, Stachia Martin, Koby McDonald and Shawn McDonald; and his brother John H. McDonald, Jr.. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. (822 E Market St, York, PA 17403). A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in William's honor to your favorite charity or those specializing in medical advancement for Alzheimer's and Dementia disease.
