He was predeceased by: his parents, William R. Murphy and Marion L. Murphy (Geus); and his brothers, Youngsville, William and Robert "Bob" Murphy.
He is survived by: his wife Donna M. Murphy (Kibler); his son Mark Murphy (Kara) of Erie; his grandchildren, Max and Zoe; and his brother Martin "Marty" Murphy (Anita).
