He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hanisak and Pearl Jackson Hanisak; and his children, Robert Hanisak and Shelley Flowers. He is survived by: his wife Leslie Shelkey Hanisak; his son John Edward Hanisak III of Armstrong, PA; his stepdaughter Frances Pressler (John) of Imperial, PA; his sister Sue Knauss (Jeff) of Pittsburgh; his grandchildren, Collette Huffman (Shane), Jessica Vincent, Eric York, Lydia York (Valentino Coccarelli), Joshua Hanisak, Blake Hanisak, Samantha Hanisak, Brooke Hanisak, Brandon Pressler, Taylor Pressler, Anthony Pressler and Austin Pressler; and his great grandchildren, James, Ethan Darr, Sadien, Damon, Jayce York, Phinehas, Nakoa Coccarelli, Benjamin and Matthew Kysor.
