He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carl and Edith Carl (Carr); his siblings, Margaret Carr, Linda Bossart, Marjorie McGee, Jacob Barndollar, Ronald, Donald Carl and Glenn Carr; and his pet Jake.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca S.'Becky'Hayden Carl; his children, John R. Carl, Jr. (Stacy) of Jeannette, Victoria Donaldson (Chris) of Connellsville, Lisa Williams (Dayne) of Everson, Ellsworth Carl (Stacey) of Penn, Shannon Roupe of Adamsburg, Staci Rosenbaun (Tony) of Foly, MO, Carrie Roupe of Adamsburg, Adam Roupe (Megan) of Donegal and Delores; his sister Willoughby Adair of Greensburg; and his pet Benji. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
