He is survived by: his wife Amy Gross Atkinson; his children, Chris Atkinson (Patti Hedenberg) and Suzanne Atkinson (late Michael Brown); his grandsons, Maxwell and Samuel Atkinson; and his brother Donald Atkinson (Sally).
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Seaman Memorial Chapel at Passavant Retirement Community (105 Burgess Dr, Zelienople, PA 16063).
