He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Harvey and Nell Rose Poshard (Welling); his son James "Buddy" Jr.; and his siblings, Fred, Joel and Margie.
He is survived by: his children, Vandy, Lenore, Chris and Cathy; his grandchildren, T. C., Steffon, Victor, Olivia and Hunter; and his brother Chick. He is also survived by his seven great grandchildren.
