He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Meridith Cunningham and Edith Cunningham (Burns); his former wife Elma Cunningham (Stewart); and his siblings, Don Cunningham and Hazel Cunningham.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Cunningham (Schulte); his daughters, Jaye Ann Ayers (Woody), Bonnie Hopper (Archie) and Jodi Branem McCafferty (Bob); and his brother Chuck Cunningham. He is also survived by his many grandchildren; his many great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in John's honor to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
