She was predeceased by : her parents, Matthew W. Zunic and Molly Engel Zunic; her husband James Martin Hughes, Sr.; her brother David Zunic; and her granddaughter Mary Ann Elizabeth Hughes.

She is survived by : her children, Deborah Weber (John) of Florida, James M. Hughes, Jr. (Ruth) of Zelienople and Scott Hughes (Sheryl) of Florida; her grandchildren, Amy Carrasquillo (Michael), John Weber, Kelly Lies (Chris) and Pixie Hughes (DeVon Juliano); her great grandchildren, Daniel and Isabella Carrasquillo; and her brothers, William Zunic and James Zunic (Sue).
