She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas F. Kelleher and Mary F. Kelleher (Neilan); and her sister Kathryn M. Wechseler. She is survived by: her husband James L. Ackerman; her daughters, Grace L. Ackerman of Barrington and Julie R. Ackerman of Barrington; and her brothers, John F. Kelleher of North Attleboro and James N. Kelleher of Barrington. She is also survived by four nephews.

“I was a student of Mrs. Ackerman at J.R.D. Oldham Elementary School in Riverside back in 2009. Mrs. Ackerman was a very incredible teacher because of the way she taught warmth and kindness to her kids. We were always her kids. I'll never forget the day Mrs. Ackerman brought in ice cream and gave us an ice cream sundae party day. This woman tried SO HARD to give us kids a good 3rd grade. Rest in Peace, Mrs. Ackerman.”
