He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard James and Marjorie James (Howell); and his sister Dr. Betty Glanville. He is survived by : his wife Louise A. James; and his children, Richard H. James (Gail) of Riverside, Tessa A. Rivera (Ralph) of Enfield, CT, Peter N. James (Ronda Carvalhal) of Gloucester, RI and Lisa M. Curtis (Clark) of Rehoboth, MA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home (350 Willett Ave, Riverside, RI 02915).

Contributions in Norman's memory to the Galilee Mission Inc., 268 Kingstown Road, Narragansett, RI 02882 would be deeply appreciated.
