He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Selma Hill (Dickie), Edmund J. Hill (Willy), Mary Murphy (Delory) and Cornelius Murphy. He is survived by: his parents, Laura J. Murphy (Hill) of Halifax and Richard Patrick Murphy Sr. of Weymouth; his sister Michelle; his brother-in-law Tim Mailloux of Pembroke; his nieces and nephews, Everly and Parker Mailloux; and his cousins, Michael, Melissa Hill, Kevin, Becky Ferrell, John, Kerri Conroy, Lisa, Amy Hill, Debbie Sherman, David Tourtillott and Denise Smith.
In lieu of flowers, guests are invited to bring a written favorite memory of Rick to share and be collected at the celebration.
