He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel J. Barboza and Mary Barboza (Cabral); and his siblings, Frederick, Daniel Barboza, Manuel Barboza, Jr. and Louise Cheetham.

He is survived by: his wife Irene Barboza (Relle); his children, David E. Barboza of Bristol, Dee Ann Netto (Marshall) of Bristol and Paul S. Barboza of Bristol; his grandson Aaron P. Barboza (Sha); and his pet Pearse.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bristol Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 775, Bristol, RI 02809.
