He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Coccio and Mary Emma Coccio (Puya); and his sister Dorothy Caromile (Joseph). He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Coccio (Hyder); his sons, John R. Coccio, Jr. (Beth) and David Coccio (Marie); his grandchildren, Kathleen Oberg (Jeff), Matthew Coccio, Kelly Coccio (James Tabor) and Ryan Coccio (Madelyn); his great grandchildren, Audrey Oberg, Anthony Oberg and Enzo Coccio; and his siblings, Eleanor Silva (late Arnold), Joseph R. Coccio, Jr. (late Kathleen) and James Coccio (Jennifer). He is also survived by his many extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Sansone Funeral Home (192 Wood St, Bristol, RI 02809). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (141 State St, Bristol, RI 02809).
