She was predeceased by: her spouse Noribal R. DeMelo; her parents, Francisco Sampaio and Maria Jesus Sampaio (Perreira); and her brother Francisco Sampaio. She is survived by: her children, Francisco "Frank" Mello of Bristol, Norvel DeMelo of Bristol, Danny DeMelo of Bristol, Lisa DeMelo (Hubie Joseph) of Bristol and Maria Pereira (Francisco) of Riverside; her sister Evelina Bryant of Warren; her grandchildren, Jennifer Melo, Joshua Joseph, Ashley Pereira, Allison Pereira, Shaun Joseph and Corey DaSilva; and her siblings, Flo Daponte, Rosa Pacheco, Alexandria Baptista and Zelia Pimental. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
