She was predeceased by: her husband Mario Medina; her parents, Francisco Avelar and Gloria Avelar (Tenente); and her daughter Thelma Rodrigues. She is survived by: her daughter Lucia Costa of Bristol; her grandchildren, Cierra Costa, Marisa Rodrigues and Derek Rodrigues; and her great grandchild Everly Rodrigues.
