With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Maria Moreira (Bristol, Rhode Island), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her husband Manuel Alves Moreira; her parents, Camilo Gomes and Maria Lucinda Gomes (Lima); her niece Jacqueline Harvey; and her brothers, Alfredo Ferreira Gomes, José Ferreira Gomes, Manuel Ferreira Gomes, Antonio Ferreira Gomes and Camilo Ferreira Gomes.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Moreira of Bristol and Wendy Moreira Luther of Kentucky; her grandchildren, Amanda Harvey (Joseph Moniz), Alexandria Luther (Devin James Bays) and David Luther; and her great grandchildren, Joseph Manuel Moniz IV, Mia Marie Moniz and Lilly Alyssa Bays.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 8:30 AM at the George C. Lima Funeral Home (367 High St, Bristol, RI 02809). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth's Church (577 Wood St, Bristol, RI 02809). A burial was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Cemetery.
