He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Embrey and Maggie Embrey (Corbin) of Virginia; and his sibling Bernet Ray Embrey. He is survived by: his children, Robert E. Embrey (Wendy) of Culpeper, VA, Russell D. Embrey (Jean) of Lincoln, RI and Paula V. Correia (Cliff) of Bristol, RI; and his sister Joyce Cortese (Victor) of Louisville, KY. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bristol Animal Shelter, 10 Minturn Farm Rd., Bristol, RI, 02809.
