She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Fortin and Georgette Fortin (Paquet); her husband Carlton "Bud" Colburn; her son Ryan Freelove; and her son-in-law Stanley Hairston.
She is survived by: her children, Randi Freelove (David) and Rae Freelove Hairston (Stanley); and her granddaughter Makayla Hairston.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Rita can be made to the Burrillville Animal Shelter.
