With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gary A. Tweedly of Central Falls, Rhode Island, born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Gary shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Gary farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gomes and Maureen Gomes. He is survived by: his sons, Jonathan Tweedly and Brian Tweedly; his siblings, John Tweedly (Lorna), Russell Tweedly (Karen), Mary Sherratt (Kyle) and Colleen Fonseca (Steve); and his caregiver Kate Kiley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Keefe Funeral Home (5 Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI 02865). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
