He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman L. Coit and Rose G. Coit (Caron); and his children, Andrew Coit and Samantha Coit. He is survived by: his wife Judith A. Coit (King); his grandson Andrew Alan Coit; and his former wife Crista Mills (Cliff).
