He was predeceased by: his parents, Pasquale Fortunato and Therese Fortunato (Bourgault); and his brother Russell Dupre. He is survived by: his significant other Paula Blanchard; his son Jamie Blanchard; and his siblings, Jacqui Albert, Marlene Dillon, Donna Dinoto, Mark Fortunato and Lisa Ferreira. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
