She was predeceased by: her parents, John E. Boyle and Lillian I. Scallin; and her adoptive parents, James McCaffrey and Susan McCaffrey (Earley). She is survived by: her husband William E. Stearns; and her daughters, Michaeleen F. Stearns-Courtney, Susanne D. Stearns and Patricia L. Parent. She is also survived by six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and many cherished nieces and nephews.
