We announce the death of John D. Mooney of Coventry, Rhode Island, who passed away on August 5, 2026, at the age of 73. John will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. John will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew John will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. John’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his mother Ruth Beren Mooney (Norwood). He is survived by: his daughters, Toni Clifford (Ryan Clifford) and Gianna Blaquiere (Aaron Blaquiere); his granddaughters, Camila and Novah; and his siblings, Kevin Mooney of Plainfield, CT, Samuel Mooney (Donna) of Scituate, RI and Cindy Tatro of Burrillville, RI.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
