She was predeceased by: her husband Richard E. Whitaker Sr.; her parents, Leo Fagan and Albertine Fagan (LaChance); her son Andrew J. "Andy" Whitaker; and her brother Leo Fagan.
She is survived by: her children, Stephen L. Whitaker of Coventry, Gail P. Whitaker of West Warwick, Russell P. Whitaker (Robin) of Coventry, Richard E. "Rick" Whitaker Jr. and James M. "Jimbo" Whitaker; her grandchildren, Richard Makely, Ashley Lombardo (Frank), Danielle DiPietro (Johnathan), Madison, Ryann Whitaker and Kailey Whitaker; and her great grandchildren, Landon, Liella, Arya, Kohen, Jamie and Brooke.
Nancy was a member and a past-president of the RI Hospital Alumni and the Lucy C. Ayers Memorial Foundation.
