It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Violet I. (Adams) Tierney of Coventry, Rhode Island, who passed away on May 9, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Albert J. Tierney; and her parents, Herbert Adams, and Mabel Adams, Sr. (Williams). She is survived by: her children, Bruce M. Tierney, Judith A. Tierney, Catherine I. Tierney, Kevin A. Tierney, Kelly M. Tierney and Margaret C. Provoyeur; and her grandchildren, Christine, Michael, Erica, Jamie, Kevin Jr., Jennifer, Scott Jr., Nicole, Meghan, Danielle and Alexandria. She is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nardolillo Funeral Home (1278 Park Ave, Cranston, RI 02910). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 9:00 AM and at 10:00 AM. A burial will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (550 Wampanoag Trl, Riverside, RI 02915).
