He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. John Post and Gloria Post (Cleveland). He is survived by: his wife Judith Post (Wheat); his daughter Heather Lussier (Alan) of Coventry; his grandsons, Michael Lussier and Matthew Lussier; his brother John Post (Liz) of Connecticut; his sisters-in-law, Theresa Potvin (Leonard) and Kathleen Marino (Gary); and his nieces and nephews, Kelly Black, Stephen Post, Megan Golia, Benjamin Marino, Sarah D'Angelo and Christopher Marino.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in William's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
