Annette (Klanian) Topakian Obituary
We announce the death of Annette (Klanian) Topakian (Cranston, Rhode Island), who passed away on July 7, 2026, at the age of 97. Annette will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sarkis Klanian and Santoukd Klanian (Begian); and her husband Theodore Topakian. She is survived by: her children, Gregory C. Topakian (Christine Hmura) of Westboro, MA, Diane M. Topakian (Patricia Brogan) of Conestoga, PA and Lisa A. Topakian of North Kingstown, RI.; her siblings, Alice Arakelian, Charles Klanian and Margaret Koshgarian; her grandson Daniel T. Flaherty (Maura Sullivan); her children, Maeve, Jack and Lucy T. Sweeney; her pets, Ruka and Phoebe E. T. Flaherty (Miles Bogner); her daughter Sybil; and her sister Margie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Annette coped with the COVID years with poise while hoping to see the first woman president be elected.
