He was predeceased by: his parents, Amedeo Motta and Leona Motta; his wife Vilma Motta (Messineo); and his siblings, Alberta Curtis and Amedeo "Al" Motta.
He is survived by: his children, Bernie Motta Jr. (late Monica), Sandra Fargnoli (Wayne), Cathy Kimatian (late Anthony Pizzi), Patti Noonan and Karen Cerino (Rob); and his brother Richard Motta. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory (1278 Park Ave, Cranston, RI 02910). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
