It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilda (Tatangelo) Merolla of Cranston, Rhode Island, who passed away on April 8, 2026, at the age of 104, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James Merolla; her parents, Nicola Tatangelo and Benedetta Tatangelo (Porretti); and her siblings, Aldo Tatangelo, Guido Tatangelo, Eva Granieri and Leo Tatangelo.
She is survived by: her children, James Merolla of Cranston, Raymond Merolla of Johnston and Anita Barbera (Joseph) of Cranston; her daughter-in-law Sandra Faria of Cranston; and her grandchildren, James Merolla (Edna), Richard Enos, Michael Merolla (Shaundra), Kimberly Gallucci (Michael), Christopher Merolla (Brian) and Trevor Enos (Shannon).
