He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Stapleton (Gallogly) and Raymond V. Stapleton Sr.; and his siblings, Raymond V. Stapleton and Frances M. Vest (Stapleton). He is survived by: his wife Jane Stapleton (Peck); his stepchildren, Christine J. Marcotte (McKearney) of Rehoboth, Gary S. McKearney Jr. of Lubbock and Ryan J. McKearney of Dighton, Massachusetts.; his grandchildren, Brittney, Gianna, Jayde D'Agostino, Noelle, Patrick, Emma, Miranda McKearney, Tristan Marcotte, Sarah Blaise and Jared DuBois; his nephew Raymond K. Stapleton; and his nieces, Kendra J. Stapleton and Wendy D. Hoag (Vest). He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Butterfield Chapel (500 Pontiac Ave, Cranston, RI 02910). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. George Maronite Catholic Church (1493 Cranston St, Cranston, RI 02920).
