He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Barone and Evelyn Barone (Piro); and his brother Rocco Barone. He is survived by: his close friend Valerie Melone; his sons, Richard R. Barone, Jr. of Miami, FL, Nicholas R. Barone of Johnston and Angelo G. St. Laurent of Johnston; and his sisters, Veronica Martish of Davenport, FL and Evelyn Barone of Cranston.

Due to COVID regulations the mass and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Hope Health Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
