He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lucy Sammartino (Iacobone) and Rocco Sammartino; his wife Eleanor Sammartino (Gallo); his sons, Robert Sammartino, Jr. of Cranston, RI and Anthony Sammartino of Scottsdale, AZ.; and his grandchildren, Robert Sammartino III, Alexander Sammartino, James Sammartino and Samantha Beam.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Woodlawn Funeral Home (600 Pontiac Ave, Cranston, RI 02910). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 8:45 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Rocco Church (927 Atwood Ave, Johnston, RI 02919). The military honors will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
